“รวมพลังหญิง เสริมสิทธิแรงงาน หยุดอคติ สร้างสังคมเท่าเทียมสากล”
วันที่ 8 มีนาคมของทุกปี เป็นโอกาสที่เราจะได้รำลึกถึงความเสียสละของผู้หญิงในอดีตและเฉลิมฉลองความก้าวหน้าของผู้หญิงในปัจจุบัน ในวันสตรีสากลปี 2569 นี้ สถาบันแรงงานและเศรษฐกิจที่เป็นธรรม เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเดินขบวนและยื่นข้อเรียกร้องต่อรัฐบาลร่วมกับเครือข่ายแรงงาน นำโดยสมาพันธ์สมานฉันท์แรงงานไทย (สสรท.) สมาพันธ์แรงงานรัฐวิสาหกิจสัมพันธ์ (สรส.) และเครือข่าย ภายใต้คำขวัญ “รวมพลังหญิง เสริมสิทธิแรงงาน หยุดอคติ สร้างสังคมเท่าเทียมสากล” เพื่อผลักดันสิทธิแรงงานหญิง ท่ามกลางบริบทค่าครองชีพสูง ค่าแรงต่ำ การจ้างงานไม่มั่นคง และผลกระทบด้านสุขภาพและสิ่งแวดล้อม พร้อมทั้งทวงถามข้อเรียกร้องจากปี 2567-2568 ที่ยังไม่มีความคืบหน้า และย้ำถึงความจำเป็นในการแก้ปัญหาเชิงโครงสร้างเพื่อให้ผู้หญิงและแรงงานมีชีวิตและการทำงานที่มั่นคงและเท่าเทียมมากขึ้น
โดยมีข้อเรียกร้องหลัก 3 ข้อ ได้แก่
- นโยบายรองรับวิกฤตเด็กเกิดน้อยและคุ้มครองสิทธิแม่และเด็ก ขยายสิทธิลาคลอดอย่างน้อย 180 วัน พร้อมค่าจ้างเต็มจำนวน และพัฒนาระบบสวัสดิการแม่และเด็กอย่างครบวงจร
- ยกระดับความปลอดภัยและสุขภาพในการทำงาน รับรองอนุสัญญา ILO ฉบับที่ 170 เพื่อคุ้มครองแรงงานจากความเสี่ยงในการใช้สารเคมี
- ทบทวนระบบใบอนุญาตทำงานแรงงานข้ามชาติ (E-work permit) เพื่อให้สามารถตรวจสอบได้จริง และไม่สร้างภาระหรือความเสี่ยงต่อแรงงาน

⛽ น้ำมันแพง ค่าแรงไม่ขึ้น
เมื่อวันที่ 23 มีนาคม 2569 สถาบันแรงงานและเศรษฐกิจที่เป็นธรรม ร่วมการชุมนุมยื่นข้อเรียกร้อง 3 ข้อ โดยเครือข่ายภาคประชาสังคม 15 องค์กร เรียกร้องให้รัฐบาลเร่งออกมาตรการรับมือวิกฤติพลังงานที่ทำให้ราคาน้ำมัน ค่าไฟ และราคาสินค้าพุ่งสูง ส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อค่าครองชีพของประชาชนและแรงงาน โดยเฉพาะในบริบทที่ค่าแรงยังไม่สอดคล้องกับต้นทุนชีวิตที่เพิ่มขึ้น และสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้งระหว่างประเทศยิ่งซ้ำเติมให้ราคาพลังงานผันผวน โดยมีข้อเรียกร้องหลัก ได้แก่
- ยกเลิกการเก็บภาษีสรรพสามิตน้ำมัน ปรับลดค่าการกลั่นน้ำมัน และตรึงราคาแก๊สหุงต้ม (LPG) สำหรับภาคครัวเรือน
- ลดค่าไฟฟ้า จากหน่วยละ 4.18 บาท ให้ลดเหลือหน่วยละ 3 บาท
- กำหนดมาตรการควบคุมราคาสินค้าอุปโภคบริโภค

จัดตั้ง จัดตั้ง จัดตั้ง!
“การจัดตั้ง” คือ
- การรวมกลุ่มเพื่อหาวิธีแก้ปัญหาร่วมกัน
- การรวมกลุ่มเพื่อรวมคนทั้งจากอาชีพเดียวกันและต่างอาชีพเข้าด้วยกัน
- การรวมกลุ่มเพื่อให้ได้สิทธิประโยชน์ เช่น กองทุนสวัสดิการ
- การรวมคนที่มีความคิดและความต้องการคล้ายกัน
- การเอาเสียงของคนตัวเล็ก ๆ มารวมกันเพื่อนำไปสู่ข้อเรียกร้อง
- การสร้างอำนาจต่อรอง
- การทลายกำแพง ทุกคนทุกอาชีพเป็นเพื่อนกัน ก้าวข้ามความแตกต่าง สร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลง
- การรวมกลุ่มเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงชีวิตและสังคม
วันที่ 29 มีนาคม 2569 สถาบันแรงงานและเศรษฐกิจที่เป็นธรรม ชวนกลุ่มไรเดอร์มานั่งคุยกันว่าด้วยเรื่องของ “การจัดตั้ง”
ไรเดอร์เป็นอาชีพที่ลักษณะการทำงานไม่ได้อยู่ประจำที่หรือพบเจอกับเพื่อนร่วมงานคนเดิมทุกวัน การทำความรู้จักและสานสัมพันธ์ก็ยากขึ้นไปตามสภาพ แต่ถึงจะมีข้อจำกัดหลายอย่าง ไรเดอร์มักเชื่อมโยงกันด้วยปัญหาร่วม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นค่ารอบที่ลดลงเรื่อย ๆ อันตรายจากการทำงานที่ทุกคนประสบพบเจอเหมือนกัน ทำให้หลายกลุ่มประสบความสำเร็จในการรวบรวมเพื่อนไรเดอร์มาเข้าร่วมกลุ่มเพื่อขับเคลื่อนประเด็นต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการช่วยเหลือกันและกันเมื่อเกิดอุบัติเหตุ รถเสีย ถูกคุกคาม หรือต้องการคำปรึกษาในการทำงาน เมื่อมีจำนวนสมาชิกมากพอก็เริ่มรวมตัวกันเรียกร้องต่อรัฐบาลและแพลตฟอร์ม โดยเฉพาะในพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ ที่สามารถเข้าร่วมขบวนการทางสังคมอื่น ๆ ได้อย่างสะดวกด้วย
ในการพบกันครั้งนี้ JELI ชวนไรเดอร์มาแบ่งปันประสบการณ์การจัดตั้งที่แตกต่างกันไปตามบริบทของแต่ละกลุ่มและแต่ละพื้นที่ และมาระดมความคิดกันต่อว่าเมื่อรวมกลุ่มแล้ว หนทางข้างหน้าควรเป็นอย่างไร เพื่อให้ข้อเรียกร้องต่าง ๆ ของไรเดอร์ถูกรับฟังและนำไปแก้ปัญหาจริงโดยแพลตฟอร์มและภาครัฐ โดยเฉพาะประเด็นสำคัญ เช่น ค่ารอบ อุบัติเหตุจากการทำงาน ความรุนแรงทางเพศ แม่เลี้ยงเดี่ยว สถานภาพการจ้างงาน ระบบอัลกอริทึม และสุขภาวะและความปลอดภัยในการทำงาน

What Happened This Month
“Empowering Women, Securing Labour Rights,
Fighting Prejudice, and Building an Equal Society“
Every year on March 8, we remember the sacrifices of women in the past, while also recognizing the progress women have made today. On International Women’s Day 2026, the Just Economy and Labor Institute (JELI) joined a march to submit demands to the government alongside labor networks, led by the Thai Labour Solidarity Committee, the State Enterprises Workers’ Relations Confederation (SERC), and allied networks.
Under the theme “Empowering Women, Securing Labour Rights, Fighting Prejudice, and Building an Equal Society,” the action called for stronger protections for women workers. This comes at a time when workers continue to face rising living costs, low wages, insecure employment, and increasing health and environmental risks. The networks also called attention to unresolved demands from 2024-2025 and stressed the need for structural change to ensure that women and all workers can live and work with greater security and equality.
Key demands include:
- Policies to address declining birth rates while protecting the rights of mothers and children, including at least 180 days of paid maternity leave with full wages, and a comprehensive welfare system for mothers and children
- Stronger occupational safety and health protections, including the ratification of ILO Convention No. 170 on chemical safety
- A review of the migrant work permit system (E-work permit) to ensure transparency, accountability, and that it does not create additional burdens or risks for workers

Fuel prices are up. Wages are not.
On 23 March 2026, the Just Economy and Labor Institute (JELI) joined a public demonstration led by a coalition of 15 civil society organizations, calling on the government to urgently respond to the energy crisis.
Rising fuel prices have driven up electricity costs and the prices of everyday goods, directly increasing the cost of living for people and workers. This comes at a time when wages have not kept pace with these rising costs. Ongoing international conflicts have further intensified volatility in global energy prices, worsening the situation.
Key demands include:
- Scrap the excise tax on fuel, reduce oil refining margins, and cap LPG prices for households
- Reduce electricity prices from 4.18 THB per unit to 3 THB per unit
- Introduce measures to control the prices of essential goods
Organize. Organize. Organize.
“Organizing” means:
- Coming together to find solutions to shared problems
- Bringing people together, across the same and different occupations
- Joining forces to secure benefits, such as welfare funds
- Connecting people with shared ideas and needs
- Turning the voices of ordinary people into collective demands
- Building bargaining power
- Breaking down barriers, standing together across differences to create change
- Coming together to transform our lives and society
On 29 March 2026, the Just Economy and Labor Institute (JELI) brought rider groups together to talk about “organizing.” Riders often work without a fixed workplace and rarely meet the same colleagues each day, making it difficult to build relationships. But despite these challenges, riders are connected through shared struggles such as declining pay-per-delivery rate and the risks they face on the job.
Because of this, many groups have successfully brought riders together to push forward common issues. This includes supporting one another in times of need, such as after accidents, vehicle breakdowns, harassment, or when advice is needed. As these groups grow, they begin to collectively raise demands to both the government and platform companies, especially in Bangkok where connections to broader social movements are more accessible.
In this gathering, JELI invited riders to share their organizing experiences across different contexts and areas, and to reflect together on what comes next. The goal is to ensure that riders’ demands are heard and lead to real change by platforms and the government, particularly on key issues such as pay rates, work-related accidents, sexual violence, single mothers, employment status, algorithmic management, and workers’ health and safety.

- The Nurses’ Association of Thailand called on the government to address the ongoing shortage of nurses, stressing that the issue is not a lack of trained nurses but the inability to retain them in the system. Poor working conditions, insecure employment, and low pay were identified as key factors driving nurses out, with warnings that this is already affecting service capacity and the overall functioning of the healthcare system. Investigations found design flaws and substandard materials, but no new safety measures have been introduced. This March, our work focuses on learning about “organizing.” JELI has developed an “Organizing Manual” (published in 2024) as a tool for study groups and to support workers who are trying to come together and build collective power.
